Wow – hard to believe that 2011 is over! 2011 was a year of challenges & obstacles, celebrations & smiles! Coming to the end, I look back and I learned a lot and was lucky enough to be surrounded by lots of wonderful things and people!
2011 New Years Resolutions Post - http://www.dairyfreebetty.com/2011/01/its-new-year.html
UPDATE
being more positive (seeing the opportunity in everything) – I have fallen into a pattern of just automatically going negative with most things… no more! - DONE!! I’m very happy with life right now, and am trying to live by the quote “Life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful”
---More yoga!! Nope – I’ve gone to a class or 2, but never got the yoga bug.
---Maybe run a 5km race? Nope – I’ve been loving Zumba and other classes at our gym lately – I have gone for a run or 2 this year (hehe)
---Make more healthy foods! Yes, although this has been a challenge. I have been trying my best to eat whole foods (but those damn ketchup chips always sneak in)!!
---BE PRESENT – This is a hard one. I try to recognize good things on a daily basis…

This year has been a challenging one, but I am SO happy with life these days. I haven’t been blogging because I am out enjoying life!
I’ll be working on a recap of the year for the next few days! Lots has happened & lots of good recipes have been made!
Also I am looking for blogging inspiration, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!! I’m up for a challenge!

“Life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful” - that's an awesome quote. I think I'm going to write that out nice and big and put it right beside my comp monitor. I'm not to big into NY's resolutions either (I read your last year's post).. I tend to just try new things all throughout the year (i.e. last night I tried bikram yoga for the FIRST time... and WOAH lol). Congrats on the increased positivity though - so important! I try to keep that one in mind, but it's hard sometimes. Anyways, just stopping by to say hi! :)
ReplyDeleteResolutions are just for fun and for reflection. If you're not into yoga, have you tried tai chi or pilates? Personally, I love all three, but I also adore zumba...it's so not a work out, it's about dancing your heart out!
ReplyDeleteI found you from Amber's Liebster blog award nomination. Congrats! I have been nominated too, but have yet to post it and pay it forward yet.
My 3-year-old son had severe eczema until he was diagnosed with food allergies a few months back. I have a blog that shares our family’s battles with eczema, allergies, and asthma (yes, lucky guy has that too).
I think the key is to learn from one another, so the more information out there to the masses, the better. With this in mind I’ve started a blog hop for anyone dealing with food allergies, eczema, or asthma, either for themselves or as a caregiver. If you’re interested in joining, please add a comment. I’d love to welcome you to the group. http://itchylittleworld.wordpress.com/blog-hop/
Thanks.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are out enjoying life! You go girl!!!
ReplyDeleteAll the best to you in 2012!
