What a funny thing motivation is!? Even funnier, is the fact I was complaining about my lack of motivation on twitter this morning, then I walk into class and my teachers days “today’s lecture is on Motivation” – I laughed on the inside!
I chuckled at this as well… this is just how I feel these days!

mo⋅ti⋅va⋅tion
–noun
1.
the act or an instance of motivating.
2.
the state or condition of being motivated.
3.
something that motivates; inducement; incentive.
The one thing my teacher mentioned today is the best way to motivation is to have incentive…
What is it that you use as your incentive to get motivated? I need some serious help!
One thing I have no problem getting motivated for? COOKING of course – I think every foodie suffers from this!!
After seeing all the granola in blog land I was inspired.
I didn’t follow a recipe, I just “wung” it!
Oats, coconut, millet and walnuts
tossed into a bowl
Then I added a wee bit of grapseed oil and I popped it in the oven at 350 until it got crunchy!
It was great! I should have added some honey or agave though as it wasn’t sweet at all! I added some cha cha cha chia seeds and non dairy chocolate chips in, just for fun!
Super quick and easy, and not like packaged granola which has a million and a half calories, fat and unrecognizable ingredients!
Test it out and let me know what you think!!
Also stay tuned for my review on this lovely stuff
You know what I love even more about this stuff?
It was a free sample to test out! (ps this stuff is being sold at Starbucks!!)
Wait and see!!!!!!
Also don’t forget about the GIVEAWAY and your random acts of kindness! I also decided you get a free entry if you are a blog follower so just say HI on that post and you’ll get an entry too!!
Jolene from Everyday Foodie is well on her way!! PS She has her very first giveaway going on too!! Go visit and say hi!!
Have a fabulous rest of your day (PS… my crocuses(flowers) are coming up in my garden!! Sure sign spring is on it’s way!!
xo Jessssssssssssica!
ahh i wish i had motivation! i was told to run 5 miles for soccer at the gym, and do you think i made two? hahaa. i guess sometimes it's just not there.

Oh girl the coconut PB action just looks heavenly. With the oats and chia. Mmmmm good.
ReplyDeleteSalmon. I dont eat it these days but when i was pregnant i did and yours looks awesome.
Enjoy all your Peeled, too!
I looove homemade granola. Best way to get inspired for cooking...hit up a market or a great food store!!! Fresh ingredients always make me want to get cooking!
ReplyDeleteYour oats look so good! I love coconut in granola!
ReplyDeleteUgghh, there's controversy on every food it seems nowadays. Right now, I am just trying to feed my body what it likes and then see the outcomes. Trial and error. I was so wrapped up in raw foods, and then I realized that I didn't like eating "nutty meats" and uncooked things all of the time. Listening to our bodies, I think, is key instead of listening to what the media or other uneducated persons tell us, especially about food.
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, great granola recipe. I like the way you just winged it! And, that coconut peanut butter sounds amazing! Was it expensive?
I'm seriously lacking motivation in my life. I need to figure it out and get things going!
ReplyDeleteThat looks and sounds great! Are you enjoying the Coconut PB?
ReplyDeleteHaha! Motivation, uh huh, strange thing. And you're so right, I'm very sure every foodie suffers from this at one point or another. :D
Inspiration is one motivator. I guess you just have to look for it first. :)
thanks pookie! love it, it worked!!! and omg first comment in, i already like it wayyyy better than blogger! ill keep you posted b/c if youre like me you realize bloggers commenting system is soo limited!
ReplyDeleteHey girl! I get motivated by thinking about how good I'm going to feel once the task is DONE! Isn't homemade granola the best? I'm always mixing up a batch. Those peeled snacks look so so good- I've seen them at starbucks and have wanted to give them a go.
ReplyDeleteI was truly motivated by your recipe of the avo with agave. In fact I am eating it right now and you are right... AH-MAZE-ING!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! that coconut peanut butter looks fabulous! I've never had it before...although I love sauces that are made with coconut milk and peanut butter..SO I'm guessing I'd LOVE this ;)
ReplyDeleteMotivation is my topic of the week too! That is too funny. It took me awhile to find what motivated me (fitness wise) months really - but once I did there was no stopping me. You'll find it, it's there. :)
