12 Days of Christmas!!

Can you guys believe it's only 12 days until Christmas?   Well 11 for me, as my immediate family celebrates on Christmas Eve!   This year Dave and I are hosting!    EEK!

I was just thinking of my "menu"
Appies - cheese, meat, pickle and cracker platter, smoked salmon not sure what else!?
Main meal - Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, newfoundland pudding (cranberry spice) and (sweet onion), homemade cranberry sauce, buns, not sure what to do for veggies yet, no brussel spourts fams in this family (except me!)

Desert - I think I might pawn that off on someone else!!
I should start shopping now, before the real chaos begins!!

Anywhoo onto eats!

Yesterday I made Dave bacon and coffee for breaky.  Let's just say the coffee was brutal - I tried to make it in the french press - huge fail - it turned out the consistency of hot chocolate!   Ick - he's a trouper and still drank a cup!!

Then I fried up some maple bacon  - his fav.   And he introduced me to the joy of peanut butter and bacon sandwhichs - don't cringe until you try it, it's SOOO YUMMY!   Not an every day treat that's for sure, but it was good -  I spared you the pictures, as they didn't look purty! I did however google this one just for fun!

I justified that treat with a big green monster full of black kale, 1 scoop of wheat grass, 1 scoop of the berry kids, 1/2 banana and 3 frozen strawberries!! :)  YUM!

Lunch was my first try of Amy's pea soup.

It in no way compaired to Dave's nan's pea soup. But it was tasty after a few additions

I added a bit of garlic salt, some nutrional yeast (yes I'm obsessed) and some hot sauce.
Crumbled baked nacho chips too!!

I would buy it again, as a quick fix it was good, thick and filling!

Then for dinner my curry made another appearance!!
If you want to see how to make this yummy-ness, check out this link.

It was good.  I used green curry paste today instead.  I much prefer red though!

it was spicy, creamy and delish!
We followed it with fresh pineapple for desert (and a few peanut butter cups maybe)

This morning I woke up and had some yummy tea - this is one of my favorites

Japanese Brown Rice Tea with Matcha Powder!

I'm now sitting in my pretty living room with the tree on and Christmas music playing!!
It's starting to feel like Christmas!!

Lance also wanted to make an appearance in blog land today!
So we did a photo shoot!

I introduce you my friends to the many faces of Lance Bass Armstrong - that's his full name!

Squishy eyes

Cheeky bugger

This is my better side..

Grrrrrrr I'm a mean pitbull (Just kidding, he's licking his lips and I caught it)

And of course his Christmas photo!

It's amazing how much personality this little nut has!
He's super goofy and silly.

If you haven't checked it out yet, you have to watch this link.
If you watch the whole thing, it keeps getting better.
We catch him doing this when he's bored... once he did it for over 3 mins!

Anyways have a great Sunday!
One of my favorite Sunday rituals is post secret!! , it changes every Sunday and is always interesting!

Sending you all lots of love,
Jessica

  10. post secrets is my guilty pleasure too. every sunday when I get up I read it while eating breakfast. lol.

    your dog is so adorable.

monkey bread is refrigerated biscuits (like pillsbury) cut up into fours, rolled in sugar-cinnamon, layered in bundt ban, then drenched in a butter-brown sugar concoction. its to die for.

I saw on Girl on Raw that you have never seen Artisana in Canada before... I too live in Canada - Ontario actually, and have bought it here... also in Nelson, BC - I stocked up on jars of their coconut butter (which is sooo amazing) last time I was out there since it was on sale. Im sure you can get it in Van somewhere... maybe Gorilla Foods would know?
    Anywho, nice to meet you!
